Katya Derksen

Katya graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Drawing at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL in 2014, she lives and works in London whilst building a portfolio, she has participated in numerous residencies and exhibited in the UK and internationally.  Her interdisciplinary practice is inspired by architecture from Bauhaus to Brutalism, geometric forms, contrasting shapes, horizontal and vertical clear-cut lines, colour and composition. Recently, Katya was selected to take part in the 'winter residency 23/24' at PADA in Portugal, earlier in 2023 she participated in Rotate Gallery's first series of commercial solo exhibitions across different venues in London. In 2022 she was selected by Hypha Studios in collaboration with Mason & Fifth for the live in residency program in London which a piece of artwork was donated to their permanent art collection.
