Giles describes his work as a form of escapism. Firstly, the element of imagining and planning out the pieces plays a big part in the process. Secondly, he invites the viewer to indulge in the visual pleasure, succumb to the joy of shape and colour, and be immersed in an overwhelmingly visual experience.
