About

Natacha Bisarre

Born and bred in Brussels, Belgium, Natacha is a self-taught visual artist based in South East London. Following her BA Honours degree in Dance Performance (2004), Natacha worked as a dance artist internationally for over 20 years primarily in contemporary dance companies, circus companies, street dance companies and the Royal Opera House.

Natacha started focussing on painting after becoming a mother of two (2017), stepping back from her professional dance career, and finally started working as a full-time fine artist in 2020. Natacha primarily creates large scale canvases, exploring emotional movement through sensory impulses, auditory and non-intellectual stimuli. Natacha's expressive kinaesthetic work aim to challenge the viewer to question their own experience, through gestural mark making and colour, and purposefully ambiguous yet poignant titles.

Select solo and group exhibitions include Somerset House, London (2023), Brunswick Gallery, London (2023), Canvas and Cream Art Space, London (2023), Fitzrovia Gallery, London (2024), Tom Cox Gallery, London (2024), Affordable Art Fair Hampstead, London, (2025) among others.

Whatever the initial trigger or idea, my selection of tools is always determined from a sensory perspective.
