About

Sandra Jordan

Sandra is an award-winning fine art photographer who creates minimalist photographic meditations that offer the viewer a sensory escape from our hectic lifestyles. Photographing either the expansive landscapes of the Arctic or the claustrophobic urban environment, Sandra seeks solitude and calm within her work. The important element of space not only allows the work to breathe but enables her, as the photographer, to create a moment of reflection and stillness within her own mind.

Alongside her personal practice, Sandra has led photography workshops in the UK and spent two months in Morocco teaching photography to disadvantaged teenagers.

As an Expedition Photographer for Hurtigruten, she documented the remote Arctic landscapes of Svalbard, capturing its stark beauty and fragile ecosystems. Her passion for storytelling extends to bookmaking, where she continues to explore innovative, tactile ways of presenting her work.Sandra’s photographs are held in private collections worldwide.

My work is an exploration of quiet moments found within nature, architecture, and place.
