About

Simona Puidokaite

Simona Puidokaite is an abstract minimalist painter working with geometric forms, restrained colour, andtactile surfaces. Her work explores how visual structure and subtle contrast can shape the atmosphere of aspace, creating calm, focus, and balance.

She works primarily on raw linen canvas and handmade cotton paper, using acrylic paint in carefullyconsidered layers. While the compositions are precise and graphic, the surfaces retain a sense of materialsoftness and human touch, allowing structure and tactility to coexist.

Her practice is rooted in an interest in duality — control and release, clarity and depth, stillness andmovement. By working with simple forms and limited palettes, she aims to reduce visual noise and allow aspace to breathe, making the work particularly suited to contemporary interiors and working environments.

Alongside her studio practice, Simona has a background in graphic design, which informs her sensitivity toproportion, rhythm, and spatial awareness. She has exhibited in London through group exhibitions, art fairs, and Open Studios, and her work is held in private collections in the UK and internationally
