Eleanor Getting

Art Consultant

Eleanor joined Art In Offices with a background in contemporary art, having studied History of Art at the University of York. Previously, she was the Co-Director of the only student-run gallery in the UK, hosting exhibitions, workshops, and events that supported emerging artists. Eleanor supports Katie with curations, projects and events, and is a master at crocheting!

Seeing art no longer has to be contained to a gallery, but is possible right in your office!

My Inspirations

Michael-Craig Martin

I recently saw the Michael Craig-Martin exhibition at the Royal Academy. I love the vibrant colour palettes he uses which transform everyday objects.

Congregation by Es Devlin

Es Devlin is one of my favourite designers who creates brilliant installations. This piece consisting of chalk portraits was staged in St Mary le Strand and filled the space with light, sound and colour. It was truly breath-taking.

Take A Seat, Shaftsbury Avenue

In my spare time, I volunteer at Bow Arts which provides free exhibition spaces and studios for artists. This show, "Take A Seat," saw this desolate office environment filled with a variety of chairs which visitors were invited to sit on. This show combined two of my interests: office environments with weird and wonderful design.

Clerkenwell

Every day on my commute into the office, I pass this shop window filled with lino-prints. They capture the gorgeous streets and parks in Clerkwenwell.

Faye Bridgewater

I saw this painting at the Flowers exhibition at Saatchi. It perfectly encapsulates spring and put a smile on my face.

Beatriz Milhazes

One of my all time favourite artists is Beatriz Milhazes. She captures the brilliant colours and textures of her country Brazil. Her use of layering inspires my own curations for clients in how I bring works by different artists together in unqiue ways.
