Irreverent Innovation

Our Clients

Balbec Capital

Having moved from many different co-working spaces to their own office at last, Balbec were keen to put down roots and really show off their personality on the walls, all driven by the CEO's love of art. The finishing touch in the office fit-out was to fill the walls with images that visually told the story of who they were.

One person's personality

Balbec's CEO is an avid art lover, keen to bring that passion into his office without letting personal taste overshadow the wider business. Art in Offices found the balance by selecting works that speak to both the man and the company at once — drawing on the colour and stylistic language of artists such as Giorgio de Chirico, then distilling it into something more corporate in feel. Framed newspaper articles chronicling the CEO's history and legacy sit alongside original artworks within his own office, creating a collection that tells his personal story. Beyond those walls, the rest of the space speaks for the company itself. The effect is a workplace where one individual leads, while the team and the business remain firmly at the centre.

Irreverent and Innovative

An initial conversation with the CEO drew out the values and key words that would shape how the office should feel. As a small, close-knit team wanting a homely atmosphere, he wanted staff and visitors alike to sense the nature of the business the moment they stepped through the door. Art in Offices translated this brief into a considered visual language: warm colours to create a sense of welcome, quirky shapes to speak to creativity and irreverence, unusual styles to signal innovation, and bold use of colour to bring an edge to the space.
