Artist Statement:
My work navigates the delicate balance between nature and abstraction, contemplation and reflection. Through an exploration of light, movement, tranquility, color, order, and chaos, I seek to capture the deep connection we share with the natural world—a life force that pulses through every living being. Each piece invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their core essence.
Nature has always been my greatest inspiration. I feel an innate connection to its energy, colors, and vibrancy, and I channel that essence into my work, bringing it to life on canvas. While my creative practice is rooted in intuition and emotion, my background as an industrial engineer adds a distinctive dimension. The renowned Argentine artist and teacher Sergio Bazán once told me he could see my “engineering side” in my paintings—particularly in the precision with which I construct my color compositions. The balance (or intentional imbalance) in my work reflects the analytical part of my mind, blending structure with spontaneity.
For me, painting is a journey. I may start with a specific trigger, but then I must dance with the painting—listening to what it wants, allowing it to guide me. Music plays a crucial role in this process, transporting me to another frequency where I can connect with something beyond myself. Is it creation? Something divine? I don’t know. But I do know that music is essential for the magic to happen.
